Harding Fall Fest

On Saturday we took the family to the Harding Academy Fall Fest at the girls' school. This was a fundraiser for the school coordinated by the Parents Club. Complete with moon bounces, kids games, fair food and great vendors, it was a fun time. The girls had a great time and enjoyed seeing their school friends! Caroline was not going to let her small size keep her from doing the obstacle course moon bounce and the big kid swings!

Harvest Festival

The farmers market held its annual Harvest Festival today and it was great! The whole event was free and there was a lot to do and enjoy including a hayride, a kids maze, a petting zoo (complete with a camel!!), pumpkin patch, a pumpkin painting contest, ring toss game, moon bounces, face painting and much more! The girls really had a great time. When I asked Anna on the way home what her favorite part was, she said "the whole thing". I guess that about sums it up!

Fall Break

We traveled to South Dakota to see Gary's mom for 5 days during the girls' fall break from school. When we arrived we were notified that Gary's mom had been at the ER that morning with a kidney stone. No fun for Gammy!! She fought through the pain and discomfort while we were there and is waiting to have a procedure done next week to help pass the stone.

The weather there was truly fall as we experienced crisp mornings and clear skies. We had a great time. The girls enjoyed Canyon Lake where they fed the ducks, feeding the deer and turkeys that come near Mary's house in the mornings and evenings, shopping/playing at the mall, a visit to Reptile Gardens and many other fun times with Gammy. It was a great get away for us and we look forward to having Gammy with us at Christmas. Enjoy a few pictures from our trip!

First Haircut

Caroline has waited 2 long years for her first haircut. She was a great client on Friday for Hana, who cuts my and Anna's hair. The haircut lasted from start to finish about 2 mintues, but Caroline enjoyed it! We definitely do not have the genes in our family to have lots of hair at an early stage in life as you can see from sweet Caroline.

Not sure what she is getting into....

A few mintues later....all pretty!
